On March 8, 2011, Del Monte Foods announced the completion of the acquisition of the Company by an investor group led by funds affiliated with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. L.P., Vestar Capital Partners and Centerview Partners. Under the terms of the merger agreement, Del Monte shareholders are entitled to receive $19.00 in cash for each share of Del Monte common stock held. Trading in the Del Monte stock on the New York Stock Exchange was suspended prior to the opening of trading on March 9, 2011.
